How En Avant Moris collects, uses, and safeguards the personal data of visitors and members.

This policy describes how En Avant Moris (the “movement”) collects, uses and protects the personal data of people who visit enavantmoris.com or interact with our membership forms. We commit to the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and the Data Protection Act 2017 of the Republic of Mauritius.

Data controller

En Avant Moris, a political movement registered in Mauritius. For any question related to your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect

  • Membership form: first name, last name, email, phone number, constituency where applicable, and the contents of your message. Provided voluntarily by you.
  • Analytics: with your consent, Google Analytics cookies record technical information (pages viewed, time on site, device type, country). No directly identifying personal data is transmitted.
  • Server logs: Cloudflare temporarily retains access logs (truncated IP, timestamp) for security purposes, as set out in its own privacy policy.

Purposes

  • Acting on your membership request or message.
  • Understanding, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • Protecting the integrity of the site against abuse and attacks.

Legal basis

Processing relies on your consent (analytics), the performance of pre-contractual measures (membership form), and the movement's legitimate interest in securing its infrastructure (server logs).

Retention

  • Membership data: kept for as long as your membership is active, then archived for three years for administrative and legal purposes.
  • Analytics cookies: 13 months maximum (CNIL recommendation).
  • Server logs: 30 days.

Recipients

Your data is accessible only to authorised members of En Avant Moris. We rely on the following sub-processors: Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, security), Google (analytics, subject to consent). No data is sold to third parties.

International transfers

Some of our sub-processors handle data in the United States. These transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You have the following rights at any time: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. You can also withdraw your consent to analytics via the Cookie preferences button in the footer. To exercise a right, write to [email protected].

If you live in the European Union, you can file a complaint with your country's supervisory authority (CNIL in France, ICO in the UK, etc.). In Mauritius, the competent authority is the Data Protection Office.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Data is stored on certified infrastructure and access is restricted to authorised personnel.
